Rocky Mountain Horse Stallion

Tradition has it that around the turn of the century, a young horse appeared in eastern Kentucky. This was the beginning of a line of horses that have been prized and treasured in that part of the country ever since...(History of the Rocky Mountain Horse)

Rocky Mountain Horse

The goal of our Rocky Mountain Horse farm is to preserve the characteristics of this wonderful, gentle, smooth-gaited breed through limited and selective breeding of exceptional stock to produce top quality Rocky Mountain horses. Training starts with imprinting our foals (click to see all the latest photos) at birth (see a video of the live birth of one of our foals) and continues with natural horsemanship methods of ground training, driving, and under saddle training. Since we have only a few foals each year, we have the luxury of being able to give each of them personal hands-on training over several years. As a result, our horses are well trained, experienced trail horses and wonderful companions. All of our Rocky Mountain Horses for sale, Kentucky Mountain Horses for sale, and Mountain Pleasure horses for sale were born here at our farm, imprinted at birth, and handled daily until two years of age.

The inherent four beat gait of the Rocky Mountain Horse has made it one of the top choices for a pleasurable trail ride. Once you "Ride the Glide" you will not settle for anything else. The four beat lateral gait of our mountain horses combined with their personal extensive ground work training, trail experience, and exposure to an active, functioning farm with all the associated animals and equipment, results in a calm, confident, willing, trusting, predictable, and trustworthy, smooth riding partner for life.
